PAIN: Museum
June 3, 2009
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to our grand Museum opening - complete with the famous Creation of Jarvis painting, the Apollo Lunar Module and the Wright Flyer I. Be the first ones through the door of this exquisite museum and enjoy the many fragile and valuable artifacts. Do however keep an eye out for that public nuisance Jarvis and notify security immediately if he is spotted on the premises.
Idol Minds is pleased to announce the upcoming release of the next add on theme for the hit PSN title PAIN. Available this summer, the Museum takes PAIN to new heights of destruction. We'll announce the release date as soon as it's finalized.

PAIN: Smack Pack
April 6, 2009
Get ready for two new ways to bring the PAIN! The Smack Pack is the latest add-on for PAIN, which features two new game modes, Darts and Fortress.
In Fortress, can you defend your castle from destruction while simultaneously eliminating your opponents?
In Darts, your favorite characters become human darts to be hurled towards a giant billboard with bull’s-eyes painted on it. In both these modes, can you score before your opponents knock you out of the sky?
Purchase the Smack Pack either in-game or from the PSN store and play these games either offline or online.
PAIN goes ONLINE
March 18, 2009
At GDC, in 2007, we discussed bringing PAIN online with the crew at Havok (the guys who make the physics engine we use).
They called us mad!
They told us it couldn’t be done…
They told us it would be too laggy.
So, we decided to prove them wrong!
Available starting today, PAIN has been patched for free to include Online play.

New Project!
October 4, 2008
Though we can’t go into many details, we’re pleased to announce that we’re currently working with SCEA on a prototype for a new project. Obviously we can’t tell you the name or the genre, but it would obviously be for the Playstation 3 and it will be wildly fun.
Please check our Career section as we have new positions that we’re looking to staff.
September 30, 2008
Our first big release for PAIN is now available for everyone to download. After many late nights and a ton of effort we’ve released the second theme for PAIN. We wanted to make sure that the second environment encapsulated everything painful and added something new. We’re overjoyed with how Uncle Jimmy’s Fun Spot turned out and can’t wait to inflict his brand of nasty on you. Join him at his amusement park and try not to touch anything sticky!

PAIN patch 1.5
February 22, 2008
Available today is the first update Idol Minds and SCEA have released for PAIN. With this update we’ve made several improvements to the game and we’ve introduces some exciting new content for download.
The new character available for purchase ($.99) is Hung Lo, our favorite dwarf ninja. He’s an absolute blast to play with and a real Ooch Master. Over the coming weeks we’ll be releasing a hip hop pirate, a nurse and a cheerleader for purchase.
Also with this update we’ve include a new mode for free. Fun with Explosives multiplayer has been a real hit with the community, so we made a few modifications and now have a single player version. Take a shot and see how high you can get on the leaderboard.
PAIN in review
January 3, 2008
We’ve really enjoyed reading the reviews from all the different sites and are thoroughly pleased that the greatest complaint is that people can’t get enough! We’re hard at work on the next major release (an Amusement Park setting) and will get it out as soon as possible.
Here are some links to PAIN reviews:
“There is nothing more rewarding than having a room full of gamers all cheering and groaning like they were at some twisted sporting event. PAIN is great fun and I highly recommend it.”

“…but for what it is and what it costs, PAIN is hands-down one of the best things ever to hit the PS3.”
